Geography Camps

Geography Challenge Camp
Onsite & Online

Ages 11-15  -  9:00am-3:00pm  -  July 25-29
Gear up for a glove-trotting adventure as we travel across the world (from the comfort of our seats) as we dive in to a crash course in geographical learning.

We will explore topics ranging from ecology, biology, geology and countries as we learn about our world and the people and creatures we share it with. We will examine how geography influences architecture, culture, and society at large, and we will create models and 3d topographical maps that conform to our favorite places on earth. Finally, we will put our knowledge against each other in a geography bee, where we will compete to see who has mastered their knowledge of the world.

And don’t worry, there will be plenty of Geoguessr too!

Geography With a Dash of Neuroscience

Ages 5-10 - 1:00-4:00pm - July 25-29
In this camp for 5-10 year geography lovers, campers will be challenged to learn the 50 U.S. states along with the countries of Africa, Europe, and Asia and to find them on a map.

To help them with this challenge, campers will learn about neuroscience and how our brains work to memorize lots of information. They will be taught mnemonic devices, techniques, songs, and participate in physical activities and games.

Participants will be challenged on the final day of camp to show what they learned.

Note: Campers will only be competing against themselves in this fun Geography Challenge!
