Splash! is a mathematics unit for high-ability learners taking math- grade 1-2 - focusing on concepts related to linear measurement, the creativity elements of fluency and flexibility, and the overarching, interdisciplinary concept of models. The unit consists of lessons centered on the idea of designing a community pool. Students examine the question of why we measure, the importance of accuracy in measurement, and the various units and tools of measurement.

About Cyprus School of Music and the Arts

CSMA offers year-round instrument lessons and programs including:
  • Quality instrument lessons in piano, voice, strings, ukulele, electric guitar, bass guitar, drums, flute, and band instruments. 
  • Playing music with others in string ensembles, drum ensembles, pop/rock bands, mixed ensembles, and chamber groups.
  • Classes and sessions in Drama, Art, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math, and Other offerings per semester.
  • Summer Camps and Programs including weekly summer camps and a full time summer program for ages 4-12.
  • Summer one-on-one tutoring for all ages.
CSMA is located within Cyprus Classical Academy, a PreK-8 school for gifted and talented students.
