This class is for students ages 8+ who have a basic foundation in pre-algebra. Students will learn the basics of computer programming in a professional and fun way. They will work with PYTHON, a popular and state of the art programming language used by many colleges and scientists around the world.
Throughout this course, the students will learn the Python syntax in a hands-on approach, using many programming examples. Advanced students will also have the opportunity to explore physical programming using the microcomputer Raspberry Pi or Arduino, where they will learn how to add hardware like buttons, led’s and sensors. Finally, they will be able to create their own projects.
Participants are encouraged to bring their Chromebooks or laptops.
