Computer Programming- learning to develop instructions for computers, has become a fundamental skill even young students should become familiar with. The purpose, structure, and methods of programming will be introduced in an organized and playful way using Scratch – MIT’s visual programming environment.
Scratch uses popular event driven programming with multiple active objects called "sprites". Students learn to create animations, interactive greetings cards, storyboards, and “games”.
Students will use Scratch to create science projects, visualizations of experiments, and animated presentations. They will learn the basics of program structure and content, and the purpose of the standard program components.
