In this class we will explore collage and other mixed media. Students will experiment with different papers, paints, images, techniques, and ideas to create spirited and innovative collages while learning about color, composition, texture, shape and art history. Students will also refine small motor skills with the cutting and pasting involved in collage. The use of multiple and varied materials allows for a wide range of creative expression and relates projects to many different artists and artistic movements throughout history. In this class I hope to instill art appreciation in my students while creating many fun and interesting artworks.
